jh fabric creations :: celebrating a love affair with fabric {giveaway}

Seamstress Janet Howard at JH Fabric Creations on Etsy is very talented – she makes lovely items based on her original designs.  She offers small and large messenger bags, iPad sleeves, clutches and a variety of purses.  I got to be the guinea pig for her most recent design – a wristlet! This is a special sneak preview of a unique design that she hasn’t even released in her shop yet!

The dimensions are 8.5″ wide by 5″ tall by 2.5″ deep.  This is the perfect size to hold your wallet, keys, lip gloss and phone – perfect for a quick trip to the store or a night out without the giant black hole purse that I know you all have (because I sure do).  I love the chic bow on the front – it’s a stylish accent that really makes this a cute accessory.  This bag has very straight and neat sewing lines and a very sturdy, padded construction – this is a very well made piece that will stand the test of time.  The bag has a main compartment plus a zipper pocket, is lined in white and closes with velcro. This would also make a really, REALLY cute purse for a little girl!

I’ve chosen to use my wristlet as an electronics organizer.  Remember how I mentioned that my purse is a black hole? Well it was super frustrating to dig through it to find the earbuds for my iPod or the charger for my pocket camera, or the camera itself sometimes!  Now, they are all safely tucked away in one place for easy retrieval.  Plus, Janet includes a nice padded sleeve as a free gift with any purse or iPad/Kindle sleeve purchase (using mine for my iPod).  This system has worked so well for me and I’m super happy!  And the best part is, if I need to use it as a going-out bag, it’s already in my purse for a quick transfer of items.  Yay!

All items in her shop are made and are ready to ship, but she does take custom orders and special fabric requests, so if you see a design you like but it’s not in the fabric of your choice, just convo her and she’ll make it happen!  And if you can’t wait to get your hands on one of these fabulous wristlets until she posts them in her shop, go find a fabric you like in her shop and request a special order. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
