Billy Craven
Billy Craven is an artist currently based out of Chicago who looks to all things vintage for his inspiration — sifting through old magazines, text books, album covers and other ephemera for those perfect images to end up in a new poster. This inspiration is also layered with his passion for bike riding with his super cute daughter (she is included in his profile poster on his Etsy page) and translates into a lot of his work (see in the awesome posters below). It is this nod to vintage and bikes that caught my attention right away.
Here are three of Billy’s posters that pop right off the screen — and believe me, even more so when you hold them in your hands.
Billy Craven’s posters are made through a process of hand-pulling — this means that no two posters are exactly the same. Each poster is made on heavy weight [100#], high quality paper. You can see and feel the quality holding it in your hand. And every poster is signed and numbered by the artist.
These posters truly are one-of-a-kind. Their designs are playful in a modern way that can make them appropriate for a nursery, office or family room wall. The only hard decision related to these posters is choosing which ones to bring into your home or give as a gift (and these really would make such a fun gift!)
Billy Craven’s posters are unique, colorful, modern and hand-crafted — deserving and capable of hanging on any wall. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5

I love being introduced to new work. Great colours on Tour de France, but I’m loving the detail on the ship!
