I have always made my babies’ food. With my first child, I certainly wasn’t planning on it. But I tried it, and decided it was the right decision for me, and the best for my son. I am now currently making food for baby #3, and I’m still LOVING it! I can tell you that it is WAYYYY easier than you may think. Once you get a system, it seems just as natural as making any other meal for your family!
While I am personally an experienced baby-food maker, I am always looking for new ideas. It’s also nice to have a “refresher” of what foods are right for baby at what ages. That’s why I’m so thankful to have this new book, 201 Organic Baby Purees by Tamika L. Gardner.
What I love about this book is that it encourages parents to
feed their babies the absolute best, right from the start. But it breaks down the process of making baby food into easy steps anyone can follow. I promise you, making baby food is NOT as daunting a task as you may initially think! And this book, 201 Organic Baby Purees, will give you all the tools you need to get started, and continue a successful journey of making healthy, wholesome foods for you baby!
201 Organic Baby Purees is great for the beginner, by giving step by step instructions on how to start. But it also gives new ideas and recipes to those of us who have been doing this for quite some time. A few of the things you will find in this book are:
- Basic fruit and veggie blends, from apricots to zucchini
- Classic combinations, such as turkey, sweet potato, and corn
- Superfood, such as avocado, blueberries, and spinach
- Puree-based transition recipes, including soups, biscuits, frozen desserts, and more!
I have gotten so many new ideas/recipes from this book that my little guy LOVES! I’ve always had the “basics” down, but it’s been great having new recipes to combine flavors and come up with new meals. I would say this book is the only one you need to get started, and continue making baby food for your precious little ones! My SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5 stars.
