charlie banana :: a diaper with options {giveaway}

 

My very first impression when I opened up my Charlie Banana diapers: they are SO soft!  Seriously soft.  Brand new fluffy kitten soft.  Softer than a baby’s tushie, therefore perfect for a baby’s tushie, soft!  I can’t imagine these diapers ever being uncomfortable for a baby to wear!

This is a pocket style cloth diaper system; the diaper has an interior pocket, similar to a pillowcase, for stuffing the absorbent reusable inserts into, with a flap that folds over to keep the insert securely in place as the baby moves (and we all know how much babies move once they are mobile!) but still leaves the insert accessible from the front in case it needs adjusting. Each one size diaper comes with a large and a small insert for use as the diaper grows with your baby – I use the small insert as a doubler for extra absorbency to avoid any leaks (I have a heavy wetter – she LOVES drinking water).  The ultra-soft leg casing keeps wetness in while keeping baby comfortable.

Charlie Banana diapers are a 2-in-1 cloth diapering system, meaning that there are 2 insert options, reusable cloth inserts or disposable inserts.  I only tried the reusable cloth inserts, and they work great!

They have both sized (S, M & L) and one-size diapers, so you can choose what best fits your needs.  The one-size diapers have adjustable elastic in each leg casing, so you can adjust them from XS to L in seconds.  There are multiple snaps on the front for additional sizing options.  I personally like the one-size option because it’s more cost-effective.

After adjusting the leg elastic a couple of times to get the perfect fit, Lily has been a super happy camper.  The “smart side snap” is awesome when I’m changing a diaper on the go – it allows me to fold and wrap the diaper up (#2 and all) and snap the flaps over to hold it closed, keeping the contents securely inside instead of emptying all over my wet bag!
