You know how I can often spot a good tried and true toy? When it’s been around 70 years! This year marks the 70th anniversary of one of my favorite storybook characters, Madeline. Imagined and created by Ludwig Bemelman, this little red-headed schoolgirl has been entertaining generations of children.
With my girls, once they could sit through a bedtime story, one of the first characters I introduced to them was Madeline. I love little Madeline because I have memories of my Grandmother reading me these stories when I was a young girl. I’m so excited that I can now share these adventures with my girls.

I love Madeline and I won't lie.. I would love this for myself! This has been my favorite storybook character ever since I was a little kid but have never owned a Madeline plush. I'm still a huge fan of Bemelmans work and a 70th anniversary doll would just be awesome.
