SunBeem Design Wooden Blocks and Giveaway

Good ole’ fashioned wood blocks…a staple in every child’s toy box. Every kid loves ‘em, and they provide so many opportunities for imaginary play as well as developing cognitive, gross motor and problem solving skills.

When I got these amazingly beautiful blocks from SunBeem Designs in the mail, I wanted them for myself! Don’t they look perfect on my mantle?!

But then somebody got his adorably pudgy hands on them and decided they were entirely too much fun (and tasty) to use as decoration.

This is one toy I am not worried about my children putting in their mouths. SunBeem uses all solid, non-treated, chemical free wood for their blocks. They are covered in a water-based, non-toxic sealant and the edges are sanded. These blocks were created by parents who wanted to be sure the toys THEIR kids were putting in their mouths were safe.

The down on the farm blocks I received are simply adorable! They are adorned with pretty patterned paper and farm animal images. The edges are sanded and distressed to give them that “vintage” look. They are just the perfect size for little hands to grasp.
